With the current shortage of components I was just wondering if anyone in Canada has the equipment/knowhow to swage 22 brass and lead into .224 bullets? This was a common post WWII practice as shortages were the rule of the day. Speer bullets got started in this manner I believe.

I know a guy that bought some of these bullets from the Calgary gun show, $40.00 for 500, heck of a deal. I'm sure they will work fine at lower velocities. FS

I experimented with these bullets from 3 different sources some years ago. My experience was that accuracy was spotty at best, and they were definitely no good at 22-250 or Swift velocities. Regards, Eagleye.

E-bay seller has 7/8"x14 swage set for $130 or so......................Harold
