OK, after asking questions here, reading all over, gathering opinions....

.....I have dipped my toe into Swarovski waters, and have a Z3 3-10x42 BRX coming. Several people have opined that the reticle might be a bit too fine in low light, but we will see.
Now I just have to decide if I will try it on one of my Coopers, .308 or .270, or maybe the Tikka CTR. Or the Ruger #1....
Jeez I hope I don't like it toooo much! :sok2

Once you go Swaro ... Well nothing every quite seems the same - lightweight, amazing glass - I have owned a Z3, Z5 and now a Z6 and I love them - Optics are amazing, scope it light which is great for hunting ... enjpy your new addition because it will grow

Just found this today...I hope it's okay to post the link to another forum http://opticstalk.com/swarovski-z3-412x50-brh-reticle_topic27412.html

I was actually looking for the difference between BRX and BRH. The poster has a good pic of the reticle in one post. I'm getting more interested in the Z5 only a couple days of work more than the HD5 but I'll need to do a real world comparison before I buy(oh and find a money tree LOL)

I have two Z-5 scopes ,both the 3.5-18x44 BRH model. I found the BRX too thin in low light conditions.

I AGREE WITH stubblejumper as I did the same thing and find the BRH is much better low light. I believe Stubblejumper as had some HD5s when they first came out. I love the Swaros. Nice and light and they put a to of work into the reticle so you can attach one of their stickers to your stock and it will quickly remind you what cross hair for what distance. And then you can get their free ballistics calculator that work with their scopes. Send a Pm to PlainSight solutions on this board. He will even call you and help you decide what you need based upon the type of shooting you will be doing. Awesome guy to deal with

I was thinking of getting of these too and am also considering the zeiss hd5. Would the Z5 be considerably better in low light conditions than the HD5 ?

That's the kind of question if you ask 10 people you will get 20 opinions. I don't know anyone who has complained about low light with either so it will be more about your eyes vs the scope. IMHO

I have several swarvo scopes, a 2x12 Z6 Duplex BT fine illumated, a Z5 in 5x25 BRX, and three Z3, in duplex, BRX and BRH, only my Leica and march are as good or better.
I think you will find the BRX is to fine for big game hunting, I use my Z5 BRX, for load development or on a varmint rifle, ( currently 17 fireball).
They a quality scope,

My Swaro Z3 just arrived in the mail today :) I got the 3-10x42 wit the BRH reticle. The reticle looks awesome, but I don't think I would like to have it any finer than it is. Will be mounting mine on a kimber 84L classic 270
