Hello all !
I don't have much experience with these scopes and just got one in a trade .
Is it normal for these scopes to have a stff turn on the magnification ring ?
When the ring is turned it does click on the number...
Also the rubber ring on the eyepiece has a triangle on it and when it's turned all the way in it doesn't lineup with the center of the scope .
Is the scope made this way or is it damaged

( it's a older made in Austria scope)

Any help is Appreciated

Stiff power ring is normal, to within a degree of course. You shouldn't need both hands to turn it. The little triangle on the diopter adjustment should only be centered when you're at +/- 0 adjustment. Turn it left or right as needed to focus the crosshairs, easiest is against a white wall background. It's just a quick focus eyepiece that's been used on euro scopes for a long time but has just become more popular in NA in recent years, rather than the turn-forever lock ring type like Leupold.

it may also have a spring loaded eyepiece that will collapse to minimize damage to your eyebrow if struck under recoil
