I have a 1.7-10x42 TDS reticle. It's my favorite hunting scope (also have Zeiss, IOR, Nikon gold, Leupold vx-III). Mine is mounted on a Tikka T3 lite 338 WM with Near Picatinny base and Nightforce ultralight rings. It's a heavy kicker. but the scope can take it (75 rds so far). It has better field of view and eye relief than comparable high end scopes. The TDS reticle is great once you've chronographed your load. You can go on the Swarovski website and plot the ballistics and POI for the various stadia. I keep a plasticized printed copy in my pocket when in the field. Of course the scope is SFP, so you have to shoot at 10X to get constant POI. I only wished I had bought the illuminated version, But $$$.
