Hi all
I have a M96 Swede mauser (ex FSR), and I was wondering if it is worth keeping in my collection, or if it like any other Swede out there? First off, it is a 1917 Carl Gustaf in the usual excellent condition, but it has a bent bolt (not matched to the rest of the rifle) and is drilled and tapped for a scope. (see pics) I bought this rifle from Tradex, and it was modified in Sweden, not over here. It also has been drilled for rear apeture sights and has the taller sight blade. Now, I'm not really sure if this is as ex sniper rifle, or if it was modified by a civilian for competiton? If it is just a "bubba'd Swede", I don't really want it, but at the same time, it is an interesting rifle. Any advice or comments would be welcome!

Civilian owned FSR target rifle. (Note the two holes in the receiver for a diopter rear target sight.) The bolt handle was probably bent when the side mounted telescopic sight was put on it. Civilian scope mounting.
