Swede Mauser Safety Flag Pops Up On Firing

I have a Swede M38 carbine that sometimes has the safety flag pop up into the vertical middle position when the gun is fired. It can happen either dry firing or with live ammo. Doesn't seem to affect anything and I can just bump it back to the fire position and carry on, but I wonder if this is a symptom of something that could become a safety issue or a part needing attention for excessive wear.

Any idea what is causing this and if I should be concerned?

Sounds like the cocking piece is catching something on the way in. Disassemble the bolt. YouTube has videos describing the process. Check for burrs or deformaties in the safety, cocking piece and bolt shroud. Remove any burrs, clean, polish and lubricate.

I will pull the bolt apart and see what I find, thanks.
