swede mauser threaded barrel

I know that the Swede mausers have the threaded barrel for the use of the BFA, but what goes on the threads when its not being used in "blank mode"? One would think that the threads would have some kind of protection. Does anyone have any ideas or better yet some pics?

There are threaded caps which have been made.

I bought a threaded cap. Used it at the range once and found that it trapped gunk between the cap and the thread. Had to scrub the threads for a while to get most of it out.

There are those threaded caps and there are also flash supressors which in my opinion look great. I bought mine from aacollectible here on CGN. He had both and might have more.

The steel caps and flashiders are commercially produced and were never Army Issue. When they were imported years ago, many had a small plastic ring screwed on to protect the threads.
