Just got this one home today. It is better than original pics. Still has the 1974 Swedish Arsenal Property Sticker on it.
So it came to the US after 1974 some time. All indications are it has never been fired since 1974 inspection was done.
Metal externally has been wiped off some. Internally it still has the grease. Barrel, chamber, feed ramp, receiver inside, etc. Bolt face has pretty thick layer and under neath side of bolt is covered with grease. Overall excellent condition! Now, one more excellent or better to find. The elusive 1944. Then I will have one of each year of Husqvarna purpose built M38 rifles.

Steve, that's a beautiful Swede huskie! The stock and metal are in amazing shape. That rifle has been in the US for 40 years, wow. Someone's safe queen. Just got my sporter Swede from Tradex. Sadly someone took a perfectly good all matching m96 and turned it into a sporter. I believe it was a FSR rifle as it was previously drilled and tapped for diopter sights. I will post up some pics on SRF. Cheers
