Need some help about Swedish mauser sight
I saw the rear sight is different on m96 and m38 swedish mauser. I just bought a m38 mauser without rear leaf. it seems like really hard to find a m38 rear leaf. I am wondering can i put a m96 rear sight on m38 rear base?
Any info would be helpful. thank you!
 
You don't mention the condition of your rifle OP.

Was the rear sight removed to mount a scope???? Is it full wood etc.

If it has been drilled and tapped for a scope, don't worry about which rear sight you put on. The front sight can be filed to be regulated. It won't be perfect but in reality, it will be close enough for most purposes until you can find a suitable replacement.

I think I have a spare 38 rear sight in my parts box.Give me a could days to locate it as I'm out and about working.Harold
 
there are different sights that elevate from the front to the rear , and others that elevate rear to front . you will need to determine which one you require.
