I have a Swedish M94 and need a stock. They seem to be hard to find. Question is can I make a M96 stock work by just cutting it shorter and playing around at the muzzle? Anyone know if a Chilean Mauser carbine stock would fit the M94 action? Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks.

A m/96 stock could be used, but there are differences. The slots in the forestock are longer, and some work would have to be done in the butt stock for the sling. The top handguard has to be filled in a bit for the shorter rear sight base, and some woodworking done on the muzzle. A Carbine metal front piece and some other parts are needed.

I'm more or less worried about the action fitting into the stock. The cosmetic difference like the hand guard slot are no biggies. I know I'll have to cut the stock at the muzzle but I'll figure that out. I want it to look something like a M94 until I can source a stock.
