As I discovered, there are four more parts to go with that m94-14 bayonet lug - a "plate" with a threaded hole through it that gets inletted into the m94 barrel channel, a screw for that, the long-ish leaf spring with round foot from the m94 that latches to hold the nose cap in place, and a screw that goes through the stock for that. Was "lucky" enough to get the first two from Numrich last year. I was able to get the entire set, used, on the EE but took much more than a year of watching the ads. I still have not figured out how they recessed that bayonet lug into the barrel band - whether the stock was relieved or whether the barrel band was relieved - have not yet been able to find one of those m94 bands.
I might have misunderstood, but almost all the Swede m94 were converted to the m94-14 configuration - then would have been sold off as really cheap surplus - 1950's, 1960's (?). From evidence of latest purchase and that ad posted, appears that some understood how to remove that lug and some did not or could not - then lower stock sawed off inch or two forward of the front band - I suspect would have made into a more or less "handy" little hunting carbine rifle.
