I really know nothing about Swedish Mausers... and my buddy has one with no bolt.

The rifle says "Carl Gustav's Stads" it also has the, I assume year, "1899" stamped on the receiver.

Any chance I can find a bolt for him... we assume it is 6.5x55 any info on this thing would be great!

Thank you!

And the next time some Old Fart explains how they remove the bolt " For safeties sake " ask them if they "ate lead paint chips as a youth"

The only reason I remove the bolts from my Milsurp rifles is to store them close together without getting "safe kisses',but the bolts are on the shelf above in the same safe.

Bwahahaha!!! No doubt! Why do that!?

Thank you for the info

Oh, when I was growing up....there was always military rifles around that had no bolt. 6mm Rem-Lee, No 4 mk1 come to mind immediately for me. Rem-Lee! Can you imagine it?
There are likely a few members who know off such a thing I'd guess.

Removal of bolt in non restricted is safe storage in Firearms regs issued by RCMP.

Yeah, sure... it is suggested in the absence of a trigger lock / cabinet
Is that lil bit of wisdom from the High River detachment?
The RCMP are legendary for the good advice they put forward to the Gun Owning Community in Canada... Sarcasm meter should be pinned right about now

Storage in cabinet or trigger lock also is a "suggestion".

Yeah, that's pretty "safe" storage..... one removes a bolt, loses it, never finds it..... "safe" storage right there folks.....lol....:p

It would surely break the RCMP's heart if it was also 'suggested' to them that they are pushing a practice that might render a firearm unshootable. They might not be able to continue with a clean conscience...sarcasm heavy here.
