Hi all, I've got a CG63 (based on the 96/38 Swedish Mauser) and I've partially disassembled the bolt to clean.

Now it won't reassemble fully... the bolt shroud won't screw back on so that it's in the right position and the firing pin is fully engaged.

It seems to be ready to reassemble... cocked and the safety's in the right position.... but I've probably made a newb error. If it were a K98 bolt I would depress the little button to move it forward.

Any advice from the pros (or semi-pros) appreciated.

Thanks!

Photo (it won't rotate past the notch in the bolt):

Is your safety properly sited in its spot, if it is tiny bit angled you will have that sort of the problem.
Take it a part and reassemble without FP spring. Play with it till you figure out how.

The firing pin should be pretty flush to the rear of the cocking piece. Then pics would be great as many CG63 have "custom" firing pins / cocking pieces.

Seems to be... but when screwed in as far as it goes, the pin itself doesn't show at the bolt face.

Can post photos...
Bolt has to be in cocked position with safety in middle position to re-enter into receiver, so you should NOT see the firing pin protruding from the bolt face.

Not for a small ring 94/96/38 as it's not #### on Open. But the safety is applied in the picture.
