Hi, I'm looking to purchace a set of peepsights for my M96. I saw MOJO Sights but they won't ship to Canada! Any body know where I can purchase a set of for my Swede? Midway is out of stock. Thanks
 
I just bought my M96, I havn't the cash or need to buy a second mauser. I,d like to purchase non drill & tapp peeps that replace the ladder sight. I am open to suggestions or a lead on finding them. Thanks
 
Try Ebay. I see them quite often. In fact, I believe there is a "Elite" sight up for auction right now. They usually go for around 100-140 bucks. More if it's a particularly rare sight.
 
I tried Ebay they only have the Elite cover, not the sight. This sight looks like a drill & tap type. Wouldn't you need a stock with a higher comb for proper cheak weld with one of these?
 
The Elit sits very low.

WILLIAMS makes an aperture sight that fits onto the m/96 Swede ladder base. The manufacturers suggested cost is $25 and it replaces the ladder sight with no drill and tap required.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago at a Gun Show for a $20 bill.

You might look on E-Bay for a Vasterras micrometer rear sight, or a F-ram AGJ micrometer sight, but they are open sights, not peep.

This was a good day. Woke up this morning and was able to order the Mojo S96MC SnapSight. Then when I got home from work I ran into my friendly letter carrier, he told me he had a parcel for me in his truck. It was like Christmas time as a kid. I carefully opened the box, ripped off the shrinkrap and pulled out a (new to me) 1918 M96. All matching serial #s, dark blueing with a beautifull stock! Capped the day off with rolling off a few reloads to test her with. Now I just have to wait for the 2 ft. of snow to melt. I definitaly want to get a scout scope and base down the road. Thanks for all the advice and tips. I'll get my son to help me post pictures soon.
 
i was able to modify a Williams receiver sight originally made to fit a win 9422. i radiused the bottom of the sight with a half round file and sandpaper and since my receiver was drilled and tapped for scope bases it fit right on. i just need to replace the front blade with a taller one which i have ordered from liberty,should be here next week.
i can post pics if anyone is interested .
