Swedish Mauser Sling Length???

Hi everyone,

I have a few swedish slings and I noticed a couple of them were longer than the others. The long ones I recieved in lesser numbers than the regular size. Not much out there on the net - apparently the AG42, M96 and m38 can all take the same sling (albeit variations of the style). Also the length between the two sling swivels seems the same as well in all those rifles, so why the longer sling? They all have the quick clip on them.

The bottom 3 are what look like standard M96 Mauser rifle slings and the top one is a long Swedish M45 K machine gun leather sling, just like the M96 Swedish Mauser sling but extra long.

They are not rare and I have had a few in the past.

They're not that common anymore. If you were to sell any of those on EE, they would be gone in minutes (assuming reasonably priced and in good+ condition).

Thanks for the responses! Thats awesome! Machine gun leather sling. I might just keep one of the long ones for myself. I like the extra length to use as a brace for target shooting.

I was planning on selling them. They should be in the EE shortly.
