Those are compensation plates that give the sight setting at various ranges for the m/94 (160 grain round nose bullet) and the m/41 (140 grain spitzer bullet) cartridges. Older weapons used metal plates while later ones used decals (stickers).
 
The "Range Plates" as they're often called were often removed and there's evidence of that with the four small holes that are left. A rifle with one still intact and in good condition adds at least $50 to the rifle's value IMO (they appear for sale on occasion and go for that and more on eBay). The yellow stickers (of which there are recent repros) are typically damaged and don't add much if any value, especially if "mopped" on with gobs of shellac.
 
On my 1898 three-digit CG m/96 the former location of the decal can be seen by a slightly different colouration outlined in the oiled finish. Note that if you are going to refit such a range plate or decal that it goes on upside down so that you can read it by looking over the top of the stock.
