Swedish mauser stock

Hi!

i'm going to get my hands on a m38 swedish mauser, the stock is not that good and this rifle will need another one. Can i use m96 stock to replace it?? I know that this is the same action but lenght wise? What can i do?

I believe you can use the m96 stock on an M38. Unless I'm mistaken the biggest difference is the shorter barrel on the M38? That said, I'm in search of a stock myself, so I'd love to know if you find one or two.

Right now I'm thinking my best option is to bite the bullet on the exchange range and order a stock from Boyd's (via Mystic Precision).

I think I might have a spare one (original Swedish M38 stock set) I will have to look through my collection of spare stocks and see.

I have a Swedish Mauser stock but no clue what model it is. Decent condition. How can I tell the difference?

M94 stock is approx. 36.75"

M38 is approx. 39.25"

M96 is approx. 45"

Check with Tradex they seem to be the guys with the Swede Mauser stuff
