Had some time at the range with the husky-38 today, always like shooting this rifle and trying out loads,
eye's are not young anymore ( age) but I'm happy with the shoot. 100 yds.

I'd be happy with that too, those Swedes are lots of fun to shoot!!I'm a recent convert to the 6.5X55 but it is for sure one of my favourites both to shoot and load for, love those Swedes.

Nice group and nice rifle. Your eyes can't be that bad!

I love them swedes...owned 2, a m96 (sold to a friend that wouldn't leave me alone) and a m38 that was poorly restocked...also sold to a friend who 'needed' it. Always looking for another...

Swedes are my favourite Mausers! I have both a 1901 Carl Gustaf M96 and a Huskie 1942 M38. Both MOA or better at 100 yards. Power to weight ratio is spot on with these IMO. Everyone that shoots one, wants one!

Yep, and I just keep wanting more of them. I think I may be addicted to the Swedes. Wife is now asking me why I need more, that I don't shoot all the ones I already have.
I tell here it is because of all those thousands of rounds of ammo I have to get rid of. Well, so much for that. She told me "then shoot them all in the same ###x gun!"
I gotta think of some thing else soon.

I have two Huskie 1942 M38's both all matching. Lately my 6.5's see the most range time, along with a 7.5 Swiss. Both cartridges are new to me this last year. I reload them with mild to medium loads and both are turning out to be great shooters. I now am starting to understand the appeal that these great old rifles have

They are addictive once you shoot them. I know, I have 12 I shoot plus some safe Queens. Gonna sight two more in tomorrow. A 1922 M96 with a 100 to 600 Vasteras insert rear sight, and a torped 1900 M96/38.

.
I think I might be one of the reason for "Old Outlaw's" addiction. At the rate you are getting them Steve, you will catch up pretty soon.:D

Buff, I do blame it all on you. I already have just over half of tose you show. But, tomorrow I will be getting in a BEAUTIFUL 1943 Husqvarna FSR with a Soderin on it. Oh, what she does not know and I will hide is a nice, really nice M38 Husqvarna with the 1974 property sticker on it as clean as can be. I just bought it a couple of hours ago.

I knew Steve had a thing for Swedes, Buffdog, you have quite the hoard going on. Very Impressive collection. I'm a late bloomer, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were more Swedes in the very near future! Thanks for posting up that pic.
