I have been given a sweet load of reloading supplies, Nosler Partitions, Barnes Xs, primers and one box (50 bullets) of Swift A-Frame 30 cal, 200 grain bullets. Has anyone had any experience with them and if so, what did you think?
Used them on with 140gr 270 WSM, held up perfectly, deep penetration and perfect mushroom on elk.... Worked excellent on deer with next to no meat damage...
Think of the A-Frame as a bonded Partition as that is what they are, They retain close to 100% of their weight which may or may not be a good thing depending on which bullet performance model you prefer.
probably not a good choice if you're going to be taking a long shot due to their blunt shape. 200 grain A-frame I assume you're loading a 300 Mag, if so the Swift AF should be good choice for hunting bigger stuff like bear, elk and moose. Probably best inside 300 yards. For longer shots the Scirocco would be a better choice
