swiss arms chrome bore?

Chrome bores are great for thousands upon thousands of rounds of full auto and the potential of shoddy cleaning routine and/or adverse conditions.
Generally not required (nor sought after) in a sporting rifle.
Additionally, barrels with chroming are generally regarded as having decreased accuracy potential than barrels without.

Swiss Arms barrels -no. But they do have one thing that puts them a step above other barrels.

The barrels (among other parts on the rifle) are gas nitrated, hardened and tempered. I was told that in Switerland it's common knowledge, and it is actually recommended that you clean using the steel brush that came with the rifle (not that I'd have the courage).

This 3-way hardening is also what gives the Swiss Arms rifles their 30,000 round barrel life.
