Swiss Arms CQB question : Is the SG552 upgrade to 553 necessary?

As a non-MIL user - on semi-auto only - you will not notice a difference. It is NOT necessary at all, IMHO. I've owned two CQB's (552 series) over the past 10 years with zero issues.
The 553 upgrade (I believe) was to address some breakage issues seen on heavy use/automatic fire firearms. As a casual civi user - you won't shoot enough in a lifetime to see any issues. My opinion only, of course.
