Swiss arms ejection scuff

I wouldn't think so.

I am always impressed to see a nice neat pile of brass consistently landing forward and off to the side.

It's a small price to pay for such a great rifle.

I use a small piece of furry velcro on mine.

X2. Go to Wal-Mart or a local craft store and purchase a piece of self-sticking velcro. Cut a piece to cover the area to the rear and slightly below the ejection port and stick it on. Use the furry "loop" side and not the harder and less soft "hook" side. It will protect your finish and help minimize brass dings. However, you're probably still going to get dings, same as with Valmets and AKs.

No, it doesn't affect ability to reload....
By the by...I happen to like the brass discolouration..it's a badge of honour!;)

I'm with Foxbat.

The brass ding on the swiss is a badge of honour. The more prominent the mark the more rounds through the rifle. Why glue crap to your rifle?

I load for my swiss and have no problems loading the brass. The sizing die usually irons most of the dent out of the case body.

But all the Tier 1 units use velcro....keeps their guns pretty for the parade ground which, as we all know is the most important thing.

I didn't put velcro on mine to keep it pretty, just to save wear and tear on my brass. I regularly use my Blue Star hunting and anyone who has hunted Newfoundland can tell you...hunting the Rock ain't easy on rifles!

can someone show me in a pic where to put this velcro ? I plan to get one of these rifles when i have enough saved. I hear on the ee people advertising them with "the usual scuff" just want to know where this spot would be. Thanks.

Putting velcro on your Swiss is like covering your couch in clear plastic.

You're only HALF right.

Owning the Swiss rifle is like having two 19yr old Japanese flight stewardesses on your clear plastic on the couch. Oil her up and enjoy. Just don't waste your life worrying what the couch looks like.

Its a whole different experience than what you described mate!
