It seems that we regularly see people posting misinformation about the role of CSC in the Swiss Arms fiasco and prohibition.

The stories generally follow the same narrative; CSC imported C/A rifles and this forced JR to report them to the RCMP.

This is a FAKE story.

CSC did import some used, refurbished Classic Green rifles. The rifles were refurbished by Swiss Arms. They were sold as used, refurbished Classic Green rifles.

JR sent one of the rifles imported by CSC (ESF9116), and two other Classic Green rifles to the RCMP and made a serious complaint alleging fraud and the illegal sale of prohibited firearms by CSC.

The matter was investigated by the RCMP, all three of the rifles were examined. This is the highlight of the forensic report:

“ESF 9116 appears to be a purpose built semi-automatic receiver, while the two other firearms, serial numbers ESF74361 and a Swiss Arms, Model Classic Green (stripped) receiver, serial number ESF73096 appear to have been converted into semi-automatic firearms from full automatic receivers.”

The RCMP went on to further decide that ALL of the rifles were in fact derivatives of the SIG SG550 series of rifles and therefore the FRT was amended and the the rifles became prohibited.

This site offers some more of the narrative: https://tv-presspass.com/swiss-arms-in-canada-the-full-story/

We trust that this makes clear that CSC was operating legally, was not acting maliciously, and was not in any way responsible for the actions undertaken by JR Cox.

We will leave this thread open for questions and requests for information. Please avoid derogatory and personal attacks. This is an informational site.

tl;dr Us true patriotic CHUDS bought our rifles from CSC and not some long forgotten dead store.

When the OIC and #### is scrapped you can bet I'll be knocking down your front door looking to order a Classic Green carbine and or CQB

A good, clear, concise post summing up to events that occurred. This should also be a warning to any potential Sterling mk3 product purchasers. The guy who looked at the 2 different types of rifles/receivers, then decided that his (Edge’s) Converted Auto rifles were legal factory made semi-auto only guns, and the others (Centre’s) rifles were Converted Autos, even though they were not, is the “chief designer” of the mk3.

We all know how bad the RCMP SFSS has been with knowledge/technical expertise, and even they were more knowledgeable than this “chief designer”. Buyer beware lol

This thread has been cleaned up. Apologies to those that posted in support, but the quotes were just not appropriate to the thread.

We can keep this thread from being shut down by staying on topic (Swiss Arms misinformation), and avoiding derogatory comments and insults.
This thread is not about the TSE bankruptcy, or Sterling Arms.
We are willing to provide documents and background to the SAN issue if anyone has questions or concerns.

Please read the OP before posting.

In reality the gun hating feds would have eventually banned them anyway as they continue on their path to disarment.
Probably, but this thread is to deal with the real story behind the SAN fiasco, and CSC's role in it. The JR cover story keeps coming up, and is currently being posted in the black Rifles section.
CSC did not import, sell, or fraudulently misrepresent prohibited SAN rifles. Any post that claims we were somehow involved in the review of the SAN rifles is perpetuating a false narrative.

I remember shoot those rifles …bloody freaking Cacca they were ever accurate…fun to shoot …….and I would buy one in a heart beat…..I hope everything changes and they come back in

I was going to buy a Sterling MK3, then I read all the crap that the owner had done with this fiasco as well as all the people that got ripped off when he closed the store in Calgary. I won’t give that clown a penny of my money and am super happy I’ve only made purchases from CSC and never the shooting edge.

I find it so strange that there's so many people simping for JR and crying over a store going out of business. We don't need a crook and a liar like him in our community. Shameful how he has other successful businesses and is very well off. He could have easily reimbursed his customers when his store went out of business.

To put it mildly, we need every swinging #### in the field because Poly is wiping our community out one range, store and licensed owner at a time.

Considering JR helped everyone lose their swiss arms rifles, I'd say Poly was quite pleased with his prior work in the community. We need good, reputable businesses and business leaders, of which there are many, to bolster our community and position. Supporting bad actors in our community will just make things worse for us in the long run. JRs prior "activities" trying to get a range shut down and rifles taken away should be a prime example of that.
