Let my start by saying I love my CG but lets be honest with ourselves, these rifles are not perfect and because we have all paid such a large sum of money for them we seem to be prone to be pretending like they are.

I will start:

1) I don't like the safety selector switch location. I don't have small hands and I can barely turn in from safe to semi, and definitely not the other way when shouldered in a proper firing position.

2) Receiver play. There was horizontal play in my receiver halves out of the box. I realize it is a combat rifle but, hey, this is a b*tch session so whatever.

3) Because even when the action is not cocked you can adjust the selector switch, I have no way of telling when the action is cocked. I like to know.

4) Rear tritium inserts are rather dull and I can barely see them in the dark compared to the front post which glows like a flashlight.

I own a CQB, Classic Green & just recently acquired a Blue Star. Really haven't experienced any of the problems you list. All of my rifles have been really tight and exceptionally accurate. No play or slop. No problems operating the controls. As for what condition the rifle is in, I guess that simply depends on your level of experience/training. Hasn't been an issue for me. The brightness of the tritium hasn't been a problem either. Are yours dusty?

My only "complaints" with the rifles are that they are hell on brass. I do know that some people complain that the full-length rifles are a little muzzle heavy. They are, but I'm one of those guys who like their guns to be a little muzzle heavy, as it helps in those quick off hand shots & the follow through. When shooting off the bench it isn't an issue anyway no matter your preference.

Price is steep AND the fact that unless you purchase the model with integrated picatinny (or whatever), you have to buy an additional 300$ scope adapter: DOUBLE-EWW TEA EFF!?

You're reaching 3500$ and the damn thing still doesn't have a scope, rings or accessories. Simply insane. :runaway:
 
MY CQB was fantastic. No issues or complaints about it at all. Other than the brass issue.
Oh, and boy it was loud...but that's not necessarily a bad thing. :D
My Black Special has some slop/play between the upper and lower that I think shouldn't be in a $3000.00 rifle, but hey, as soon as I start shooting it, I forget about that little peeve. The rifle is just a joy to shoot.
Other than that, I have nothing.

...you guys won't hear any complaints from me...I'm just damn glad to have one...it's still the best .223 on the planet...and I personally went to the factory in Switzerland to thank the people that make them.........
 
With a rail attached I sometimes raked my knuckles against same while operating the charging handle.

It was said before but I'll say it again... very hard on brass.

The finish chips where ejected brass deflects off the receiver. It's not a big deal but you think they could have come up with something...

Otherwise they're great, I'm sorry I had to sell mine, I will buy another.
 
I'd like to have Swiss Arms but I purchased a 180-B instead.

With the price of of the Swiss Arms mags I couldn't rationalize spending that much money to have 3 mags. What are they? - $75 a piece? and no 10 rounders.

Nice rifles though - glad we can have them.

We have tons of parts in stock and can get more relatively easy. Plus we have two (soon to be three) factory trained techs onsite...

Even the guys with the torn rubber were looked after with relative ease...

Isnt there a mod. that can be done so they`ll take AR mags? Change out the trigger group or somthing?? Probly totally wrong but it could be done.

I think that is the biggest complaint I hear and I agree. The Swiss and the Germans, why would you not make your rifle so that it took one of the most popular rifle magazines on the planet, the M-16!

My biggest complaint is with the heavy barrel sniper model is that when Dianne and I go out for our seldom gopher shoots she monopolizes this rifle and keeps saying she needs more mags (loaded of course). Dianne doesn't shoot that often and considering this she is an wonderful shot and has been making gophers vaporize out to 200 yds. Phil.
