Did these get prohibited again, or are they all hiding? There are none on the EE, and no dealers seem to have any.

When/if that part of C71 is enacted they will go prohib again.

They come up on the EE but people want what they were worth before they became likely prohibs.

Ah so it is a tricky time. I get that people don't want to lose money on their investments but unfortunately it looks like they may either have to eat the loss or hold onto it as a safe queen(assuming they grandfather your license to be allowed to keep them).

Also, technically if you were not in possession of one as of June 30, 2018 you aren’t eligible for grandfathering.

I questioned the RCMP about buying my Swiss Arms 552 a few months ago and questioned the fact that I have read on the internet and everyone is saying you have to own it prior to June 30 2018 in order to get grandfathered in to keeping it and they told me that there is nothing stating that I had to own it prior to June 30 2018. I explained that I didn’t want to spend $4,000 just to have it taken away and I was told that yes Royal Assent signed off on it but it had 3 more stages before it was finalized and as long as I owned it before the bill is 100% passed and finalized that I would be grandfathered into keeping it. I guess I’ll see as it was registered after June 30 2018 but prior to the bill being finalized.

the turd king could very well confiscate these and any other prohib rifle like FAL. My opinion the grandfathering will guarantee youre door gets booted down first...

Well call me a fool but if anyone has a Swiss Arms 553 Classic Green with a diopter site and a Swiss or B&T top rail for sale I would be willing to pay $4,000-$6,000 depending on the condition and what it comes with. PM me.

I use my classic green for hunting. Didn't think I'd get another chance last fall, but they weren't officially prohibited yet. So... I'll keep hunting with it until then (hopefully forever).

Thanks for the information! I want to be a 'fool' as well, swiss are is a must-have! I'm still looking for a sig550 (I can enjoy bringing it out to the crownland before it gets prohibited:) )
