Are these really worth $3000+? I am thinking about a non-restricted version, but are they really worth the kind of money being asked? What is so special about them? Quality, name brand, performance?

I've never shot one, but don't recall hearing a bad thing said about them. Lots of people want them so i guess the price is in line with other high end paper punchers. The big thing when a person drops a large amount of coin on a product, is customer service. That is where i start when looking at new toys. Good luck and have fun.

I found them to be good value for what you receive. Nice guns to shoot and they hit what you aim at ...

Mine puts a grin on my face every time I shoot it.....can't put a price on that. Fit and finish are top notch and they have a substantial "feel" to them. Butter smooth action, the machining of the bolt + carrier really impressed me.

Good build, excellent reliability and accuracy, fantastic "out of the box" trigger.

Best of all, non-restricted.

Doesn't really need much beyond that :)

Loved the one I shot, zero recoil and very accurate. If I had the money I would buy one... hell I'd buy two: one restricted and one non. :D

Nice rifles but definitely not worth double the price of an AR variant.

Pretty much.

It's a neat bench rifle / paper puncher, but I personally feel like it's seriously overpriced, even though it's just a question of supply and demand. Don't kid yourself... if that rifle was Restricted in status, it probably would be half the price.

The Swiss arms rifle is so much more than a paper puncher, it makes a nice decor for your dinner table for any event. Here is my center piece for Sunday family dinner:

All 3 restricted variants of the Classic Green are the same price.

I didn't like the look of em, then a buddy bought one and I have had the opportunity to shoot it on a recent coyote hunt.... thats right, a coyote hunt. If I had that sort of disposable cash available for a rifle, I'd get one, but I don't right now. They have an excellent design, and function is excellent. A nice piece, but one of those items you have to try before you can appreciate it. The AR at half the price will have to do for me for the time being. Something to be said for being able to take it out and pop off a few rounds at the local farm whenever you want though.

If your willing to pay it then they are worth it. You might be able to get a good deal on the EE, I just did & even if the round count is high, I think these rifles are good for like 30,000rnds so dont be scared away by a round count of 2 or 3K.

The price of the Swiss Arms isnt driven so much by supply and demand but by the fact it's manufactured somewhere where the price of everything is f**king expensive, including labor. I'm sure you guys would be surprised by the margin TSE takes on it. I'm sure it's nowhere near what you guys think it is.
