wow, where did he get those? Even over here they are not all that common any more.

Remember finding some in my dad's army stuff when he returned from his annual military course some time during the 80's.
Mostly the plastic ones were used I think.
 
Yes. No need to have range regulations made up by people who don't like shooting, or who a misapply a particular regulation to a situation, or area, where it should not apply.

You don't need to read German to understand the depth of cultural significance that shooting plays in Switzerland. http://www.murtenschiessen.ch/index.php/artikel2016 There are banners and customary symbols, someone gives a speech, then a huge long column of ordinary people march out of town, lie literally shoulder to shoulder on a firing line, fire the match then go drink beer. Young, old, fat and good looking, everyone participates!
