There was a Swiss carbine awhile ago for sale on EE that took AR mags. Is there a magwell adaptor or does the conversion require a complete lower? Or is it just better to stick to Swiss mags?

The Swiss Mags cam in as opposed to sliding straight up and locking in a relief cut. A superior system to ensure the magazine is fully seated, and once seated, less prone to stoppages due to magazine seating issues.
Also, The mags allow for longer loading. Granted, this is only an advantage if you handload.

If I could get an AR15 lower that used Sig mags I'd use it... they are just that much better. However, the new P-mags have me feeling a lot less hostile to AR15 mags now.

I've looked at a magwell adapter but don't think there is room to do it. One would have to modify the magazines.

Could someone adapt AR magazines to fit the Swiss rifles?

The HERA conversion gizmos to make an AR mags fit a stock HK SL8 look pretty slick.

I wonder if the same idea would work for the swiss rifles?
