Swiss Competetion Slide Show

It's really quite amazing that Switzerland hasn't imploded or something with all those shooters and firearms floating around. They must be teetering on the brink of armageddon. I think we need to send a big boat load of Liberal politicians over there to straighten them out.

Hopefully the boat would sink half way there.

I lived there for a year, and got to go shooting with the Corcelles-Cormondreche club on Sundays. Each town has their own team, and they take the competitions pretty seriously - town rivalry I guess.

Really nice people, lots of fun shooting, and nice guns! They tend to do a lot more drinking at the range, even while shooting, than we would - I never had a problem with that!

And it's true, there are a lot of guns there! Nice to see how few gun crimes there are, odd eh? Amazing what a little education will do...

The Liberals would have a field day over there, the last pictures with two guys carrying the rifles on their shoulders (the guy on the left not so safe I admit) would be an interesting scene if you put a CFC advocate out there.

The large number of people shooting is very impressive, something I have yet to see at any range in Ontario.

My buddy and I are considering going to next year's Schützenfest in Aarau to represent the Toronto Swiss Rifle Club. It's the national shoot held every 5 years in a different town and draws around 50,000 shooters! We shoot K31's here, but I've been told you can borrow Stgw. 57's and Stgw. 90's at the event!
