Swiss GP-90 spam ammo can

Every Swiss soldier equipped with the SG 550 assault rifle used to be issued 50 Gw Pat 90 rounds in a sealed box, to be opened only upon alert. The ammunition was intended for use by the militiaman should the need arise while he is en route to join his unit. This concept of personal ammunition has been repealed in 2007 due to safety considerations.

Does that mean someone dropped a box of ammo on their foot?

a couple guys shot their wife's, girlfriends or themself, using the ammo from the "pocket ammo" (Taschenmunition).

Now it's much safer, because you have to steal the ammo or go to the gunstore first.

So if the ammo isn't available those intent on committing harm will just give up? I guess that's how it goes right. No guns No violence. When it should be Know guns No violence.
