.... They look and handle even better in the "flesh" than the pictures, great quality as they are, show. A Police Armorer that I worked with, had one that he'd carried in the Middle East, and I had the opportunity to "borrow" his personal SIG .....fit and finish was superb ! ..... David K. ....

Do they even surplus these pistols like they do they're rifles? If so why do we never see any? I can get a swiss revolver easier.

Most people who got them issued kept them after finishing their service.

Great 9mm target pistol.
Nothing much better for that.

After using one of mine for a black badge course, I can tell you first hand that it's not the best choice for IPSC!
Safety is extremely stiff. Had blood blisters from put it on and off so many times during the course.
Heel mag release takes time. Mags do not just drop out.
They are very tight, even after many years of use.

Still love them, they're just not for IPSC.
Use mine now and then for CF Bulleye. I find them a little easier to score well with than the S&W52.
