Swiss Sight Training Aid for K31, G1911, 96/11, K11

An instructor and a recruit can both look through this training aid as the recruit aims the rifle with the instructor on the side looling at the other side of the 45° glass prism. It is wrapped around the rifle just behind the rear sight.

Back in 2004, when I was a young Sergeant in a basic training unit, we had some older guys from the "Festungswachtkorps", the fortress guards to help us with training. A few of them had such devices for the SIG 550, which they used when we would go to the 300m range.

So there might still be some in the system, but I've never seen them ever since.
