I discovered on you tube, an immeasurably Awesome rifle. It was a Swiss or maybe Swedish rifle with a straight pull bolt, what does CGN know about this beauty? Where can I get one, how much will it cut out of my retirement fund and what the hell is it?

Shmidt-Rubin. They come pretty cheap, $2-300 for model 1911, about $500 for a K31 IIRC. The 7.5x55 is a great round.

Very accurate too!

My collection started out with a Schmidt Rubin 1896/11 and boy is the action smooth as butter. It then moved onto a Vetterli 1869/71 and so far has stopped at a Schmidt rubin 1889 (definitely my favourite so far). The trend is becoming very addictive so watch out :).

Swiss K31s seem to be the most popular, some of them have soldier ID tags unde the butt plates.

Trade Ex and P&S Militaria has them in stock for good prices too. Sometimes a good deal comes up on the EE so keep an eye out there as well.

They are one the best made army weapons of history, the Swiss were and still are perfectionist when it comes to guns and they are defiantly one of the more accurate guns out there. They are also very cheap for what they are and the ammo(gp11) is also relatively cheap for what it is( match grade ammo). I love mine( k31), its fun doing the mad minute and getting 3-5 inch groups ( takes practice but it can shoot accurately as fast as a semi auto)

Mine from tradex should be in the mail tonight!!!! $275.00 for a great bore all matching nail driver! You can't go wrong from what I have read. Search this section for K31 and you can read lots about it. Tradex and SFRC have surplus GP11 (7.5X55 Swiss) in stock for just less than a buck a round after taxes and it is supposed to be equivalent to match grade anything else. Must leave to go home now and see if it came!

I have a beautiful example of a K31, which is the improved version of the K11. The gun is without a doubt a tremendous shooter, extremely accurate, very easy to cycle, Love it to death. You can't go wrong having one or two in your collection !!
Any body have one? How do they shoot?

I have a K31. I'm taking it out to the range along with some GP11 in just under an hour. Amazingly accurate and pleasantly shooting rifle.
