I have two hunting rifles that are best suited (in the conditions I use them) to having a red dot sight (e.g. AimPoint) mounted on them. Currently I simply use one AimPoint sight and switch it from rifle to rifle using the standard mounting system. Other than having to resight my rifle, is there any disadvantage to doing this? Also, does anyone have suggestions for other types of mounts that may make this process easier (rifles are a Browning BLR and X-Bolt).
I don't have the $$$ to buy two AimPoints and simply leave one on each gun.
