I have someone who offered to sell me a very good condition sx2 with 3 inches, 3 chokes and fully rifled slug barrel for 1000 bucks. Just wondering if that value is realistic. Gun is black and only 3 inch. Not sure what they go for on the used market. A new sx3 can be found on the ee for 850 so a sx2 must be worth less than 700.

You would not get any of my x2 for 700 bucks but they are 3 1/2
Look at it this way if that barrel is 22" Rifled with Cantilever Scope Mount in Matte they were over 500 new alone and no longer available if I recall correctly
I would toss 800 at him and see what takes place and work from there. That is if the slug barrel has value to you and useful to you
The x2 and gold were bacically the same gun and I would sell my x3 before any golds or x2 since they are a dime a dozen right now. I have had zero problems with any of them gold, x2 or x3 and a ton of rounds fired

I'd jump on that SX2+rifled slug barrel right now, even for $1000 if he won't negociate! I ran just under 44 000rds thru my Gold 3.5", which as stated by 3macs1 is almost identical to the SX2, and only had to replace the bolt buffer and recoil/action spring once...they are a very durable and reliable shotgun! Don't hesitate too long on this one!!!
