Iam looking into a sxs .410 but can't decide between a Yildiz or CZ any help or opinions would be appreciated, Iam mainly concerned about quality and reliability differences between the two.

My son has a CZ... very nice little gun... and Josef Dlask has taken over the CZ warranty work... that's a good thing.

I'm not familiar with the .410 models... but I have a CZ sxs in 28 gauge. Decent gun, and my 'go to' option for upland birds. Nice & light, as well. It does have quite a flare at the end of the barrels to accommodate the screw-in choke tubes... not great lines, but it works so I don't fuss too much

They are both crap made in Turkey. But if I had to, I will buy a CZ, simply because if CZ puts its name on the gun, you should expect a better quality control.
The Yildiz are made of very cheap and flimsy metal. When you close it, the barrels feel like they are flexing..It's your choice anyway.

Cheers

Not true. If you want a decent enrty level SxS or over/under for hunting there is nothing wrong with CZ if you get one after 2007 production.

Agree. Nothing wrong with a CZ for the average hunter / shooter. I have one in 28ga and one thing is for sure the birds don't know if I have that or one of my higher end guns in my hands when it goes bang and it has every time I pulled the trigger.

In fact own a few different shotguns guns made in turkey and no issues with any of them. Maybe at 300 pounds I am not big enough to get the barrels to flex when closing :)

For the money you cant beat the CZ's, I own one and it shows no Mercy on Woodcock and Huns'.....its a 20ga Ringneck and it has the most gorgeous piece of \turkish Walnut youve ever seen, nice fit and finish for a 900 dollar Gun....in my opininon, they are undervalued. If \I had to choose, it would be the CZ...not the easiest to find right now unless that has changed recently.

I bought an O/U .410 by Yildiz on a whim while searching for a SxS 28. I've only fired about 200 rounds through it but I really like it. Time will tell if it was a wise purchase but it has gorgeous wood and seems to lock up nice and tight. My forearm has a slight bit of wobble and the machining on the choke tubes is a bit rough. I brought it up north with me and popped a couple grouse while moose hunting, it was perfect for the task.

To 300 lb 3macs1, we are talking about the .410 not the 28 Ga which has thicker barrels. I think you're in the wrong place :)

Think I have not handled these two 410's not that it matters. It is not the barrels that seem to display thickness issues here. :) Flimsey metal and barrels flexing on these SxS shotguns or any SXS for that matter PLEASE. Not in the 45 years I have been playing with them and not too many of these working man's guns that I have not had at one time 410 included.
Light, loose fit etc etc yes but not flimsey metal or flexing barrels

In fact still have a nice collection of 410's some turkey made guns included but flimsey and flex donot apply to them nor does being labeled CRAP. The double gun is a far more complex mechanism than a pump or autoloading repeater. The double gun operating mechanism must be manufactured and fitted to close tolerances or it simply will not work and that is not the case with either of the guns mentioned
Either one works as designed and will be fine to take the OP to his grave if an average shooter/ hunter. Not everyone can afford to spend 1000's on a SXS nor is it required in 99% of the cases
Cheers :)
