Well I cleaned out the safe a bit & promptly ( before my wife could spend it) reinvested the funds into somthing I've always wanted .Its not an english in 450 bp nitro but its likely as close as I will get.I've read good and bad online , my thoughts so far:
+wood is much better than anticipated ,checkering is quite decent
+very good fit &finish - metal to wood- tight and tidy
+shoulders like no other rifle I have ever tried-like a 410 shotgun might be close. seems to jump into firing postion, very natural fit.
+ action closed is very tight - no sloppy

-action is stiff to open , bruxton oil seems to be the answer
-front site hard to see , bit of white enamal paint ,fixed
-right trigger (front) breaks near 7lbs ( est.) left is much better, will fix with a bit of polishing
-plastic between barrels , not a fan of it on my rifles you have to actualy touch it to tell though, not glaringly apperant. couple pics with the GG for comparsson

I have NOT had a chance to shoot it yet, might be 2 weeks ,dam work gets in the way of my life. will be interesting to see how barrels regulate.

Looking forward to your range report. I blame my "need" for a big bore double on all the Tarzan movies I watched as a kid. But since a double .470NE isn't likely in the cards for me, a Baikal .45-70 might one day fill the void.

I got the rifle through buck fever on the sunshine coast , B.C. was $ 1070.00 shipped. took a week to get it.your right about the recoil pad, looks kind of cheesy, btw I watched all those tarzan shows , king solom's mines ect. It's going to be my bear rifle this spring, 405 gr realy does an amazing job. sorry the rib with the site is metal, it then goes to plastic between the barrels kind of a covering I guess for the regulating mech. ?

Can you please explain the "regulating mech." Is there someway you can move the barrels to change POI ?
P.S. do not use oil on the hinge points use a silicone Lithium Grease.

I would suggest it will handle the same loads as a T/C Contender which is a little higher pressures than a Trapdoor and less than a Marlin...

lithium grease

thx. for the the tip on the grease , I get it for free with some faucets- never thought to use it on a firearm.
the rifle weighs 3.5 kg = 7.7 lbs aprox.
the reg. method for the barrels is a spring loaded wheel under the barrels , dial it clockwise or counter to reg barrels.
sorry no range report until 13th at earliest ,to dam busy
I have read everything up to lever-evolution rounds are fine . but not to use the " ruger # 1 " loads , bit to hot .
extractors won't throw the empty's like some shotguns just lifts them for easy grab
