Question for my esteemed colleagues have a SKB 200 SXS 20g and yesterday hunting pheasants after I shot my first bird I noticed that left barrel (full choke) was the one that had gone off (single trigger) I switched barrels with the selector on the trigger and 20 minutes later bird got up and wham both barrels went off. Couple things might mitigate this it was raining so the barrel selector was wet and I could not feel if it was all the way over hand was cold .I tried test shots afterwards and everything worked fine ,question could the barrel selector get hung up between left and right causing both to go off? or?

I'm not sure if the SKB selector will fire both barrels if the button is only pushed half way in and I don't have my SKB close by to experiment with it In owning several SKB's over the years I've never had that happen.
If it isn't doing it anymore than I'd just write it off to the cold and rain but I'd pull the stock and flush the trigger mechanism out and relube just to make sure there isn't something in there causing problems. You might have some moisture in there too that should be taken care of after being in the rain.

Thanks FF will do that ,just used some 96 on it to clear out some but will take it apart if just for my own piece of mind

Did both barrels fire simultaneously or one right after the other? I had a Perazzi that had a tiny chip out of the sear, enough to bump it loose right after the first shot. Examine the parts with a magnifying glass if you don't find an obvious problem. It doesn't take much.

Simultaneously it was impressive even for a 20g.Test fired it again no issue nothing seems out of place but will have a hard look at the sears.thanks

Took it apart and no dirt or wear that was visible. The barrel switch on the trigger was pretty simple mechanical back and forth. The one thing I did notice was everything was "loosy goosey" if that makes sense .The pins and fasteners had a fair amount of play and I don't think it was from use as everything looked immaculate. Guess am comparing it to B guns and my old english doubles and that to be honest is not really fair.Test fired a box at the range loaded both barrels no double bangers hoping it was a one off.

SKB's are well balanced and durable guns but they aren't known for being built to really tight tolerances as far as triggers go, despite that I hold then in fairly high regard. My problem is that I compare every shotgun I pick up to my Perazzi's triggers and none come close.

that must be it , my ASE gold has interchangeable triggers so that is what I'm thinking all must be like
