sxs help

I was looking at Boyd's web site and could'nt find anything. Some of the savage stocks look similar. If someone could tell me if one of them would fit my gun, that would be great. Thanks, Dave.

How old is the gun? Only reason I ask is I have an old Eastern Arms Co. SxS 16 gauge from about 1921. It is Belgium made and nowhere anything like a 311 Stevens. Even if you gun is close to looking like a 311, I doubt very much the stock would fit without major modifying. A lot of times a stock on a SxS won't fit from one of the same model to the next without some work.

your better off geting a blank or semi inlet and doing it your self most of the Belgium made guns are made for companies(big name hardware stores and department stores are best known for this stuff) to stamp they're name on them there just a cheap gun made but god knows who

may i ask whats wrong with the original stock

The original stock has been sanded and refinished so many times that the tang is proud of the wood by 1/16". I was hoping to get a new one to complete the restoration. I traded a case of beer for the gun so I don't have a lot invested.

A pic though might tell us what or if another stock from a different model might be close to fitting. Either way you would probably have to do some fitting. I know a fellow who ordered a new Reproduction stock from Western Gun Parts for a Fox model B. It had to be hand fitted as well.
