sxs recoil pads

I have a couple of sxs 12 ga guns that could use an extra 1/4" and I wouldn't mind something softer then the equipped hard plastic
What is the nicest pad going for feild gun use for the money? I'm thinking grind to fit limb saver but open to any suggestions

No. Sarasequesta. And other similar Spanish type field guns. Im not cutting them just taking off the plastic and adding a thicker pad.
I did just buy a sxs with a broken butt plate but haven't received it yet to see the length

Limbsavers have their fans, but I'm not one. I find them a little prone to tear.
I much prefer the Pachmayr Old English Decelerators ... and absolutely, properly ground to fit.
Have such on my Union Armera and several other guns as well, including my DT-10 !.

Just installed a Limbsaver (first one) and it went OK. Does the job but as Baretta mentions, while it has not torn yet, it does look a little fragile in that regard. Time will tell. Ended up cutting and inch and a quarter off the stock (sorry Guns) to adjust LOP but it is a utility grade spanish double not a collector piece so that was an OK move.
