I just swapped out my SKS mystery wood for an ATI synthetic stock and everything fits well except for reinstalling the gas tube/handguard assembly. I can't get the latch on the rear sight to move into the lower position and lock. I looked for clearance issues between the handguard and the stock that I thought may prevent the gas tube/handguard assembly from sitting properly but I don't see any.
Anything else I should be looking for?
