I'm hunting around, it would seem its either McMillan or MDT LSS-XL.

I would prefer synthetic IE why I haven't mentioned Boyds.

Anyone else have a line on something ?

Also, is there a "short action" or a "Long action"? They just drop in spacers to make up the difference for shorter rounds in the mag. So I'm assuming its a one size fits all.

Bell and Carlson make a few of Weatherby's factory installed stocks and can be bought aftermarket. The A2 is quite comfortable for prone and is rock solid. Nearly ready to bed right out of the box. Prophet River imports and sells them, Redhawk Rifles in the US export them to Canada. Just phone the order in if you go with them and request USPS shipping.

Old pic but here's my old Howa in an A2 with TacPro cheek riser.

Legacy Sports makes a kit for the Vanguards/Howa 1500's.

There aren't "metal", all plastic (space age or whatever). Come in two options - 5 or 10 round mag with extra mags also available.

I do know that IrunGuns carries them.

You swap out the trigger guard/existing floorplate guts - takes about 5 minutes and haven't seen one yet that requires any kind of fitting - it really is a drop in replacement.

They will set you back about 150'ish bucks (about 80'ish for an extra mag) but it's the only option I have ever found for the Wby's.

Weatherby does have their own kits but only for their long action calibers (so 240 Wby, 25.06, 270 and 30.06). The Legacy kits work for 204/223, SA based on 308, Long Action based on 30.06 and they have a magnum kit that will work for 7MMRM/338 WinMag but not 300 WinMag or any of the Wby Mag caliber save the 240 which is based on a 30.06 case.

Awesome thanks for the info! This will be a pretty slick rig by the time all the parts get on it.
