synthetic stock refinish

Hey fellas. I have a synthetic stock that needs to be refinished. It has had two or three colours on it already. Not done by me. The latest colour of black is all coming off. The previous owner used some type of rubberized coating on it. My questions are what do you guys reccomend for stripping the old finish off? Also what type of primer and paint do you reccomend for the fresh coat? Thanks for the help!

Get everything off with sandpaper or whatever. Smooth it out with some finer grit. Krylon Fusion now comes in camo colors. Go nuts!

KRYLON fusion is the only paint to use on plastic.

I just did a new stock with it, it is highly abrasion resistant. Follow the instructions on the can to the letter.

I am going to refinish two synthetic stocks. One of which is a "Brown Precision". I will be using Krylon Fusion but applying it with an airbrush, not the can. On this stock, my intention is to simulate the look of a laminated pepper stock. Will post pictures when done.
