Selling for $300 in the USA, wonder if anyone would bring this into canada, and if the price would double.

Looks like its pretty rail friendly!

A solution looking for a problem? :p

Pretty affordable compared some of the other piston upgrade kits out there. I'd wonder how these handle carrier tilt.

I wouldn't bother, if you want a piston rifle then buy a piston rifle, retrofitting a DI rifle to piston is probably not going to do anything but create problems.
I have a PWS AR and it's great. It's only great because it was designed to incorporate a long stroke gas piston setup. There is nothing wrong with the DI design and unless you are shooting 1000's of rounds a day without stopping to give it a few drops of lube from time to time it will be just as reliable as an external piston rifle. If the piston design was that much better every rifle in the military would have been converted by now.
A better investment to increase reliability and make cleaning easier would be to spend that money on a nickel boron BCG. I just put one in my 300BLK AR and it is awesome. No matter how much you clean it the surface still feels slippery. Even after a day of shooting it feels slick. Any carbon just wipes right off. I bought the Fail Zero complete BCG but there are a few other options as well and I haven't heard any complaints about them yet.

I like tinkering with piston systems.

According to the measurements, this should be compatible with more handguards than other offerings.
It seems it would fit with my LaRue rail, and it might even fit under many rails like a low pro gas block.

As an AR tinkerer, I think the saying goes "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"

PS: My CMMG kit I bought years back is still working great. Other than the too much extra weight it added, my AR ran smoother, softer, and functioned flawlessly with it.
Mind you, it needed tweeking over stock.
