I have just purchased this Schmeisser .22 LR. Looks like it is very similar to the Savage 1903/1909. I'm not sure how it works or if the firing mechanism is complete. On the barrel it has inscribed AUTOMATISCHE BUECHSE SYST. SCHMEISSER MOD. 1912 FUR RANDFEUERPATRONE CAL .22 LANG. RAUCHLOS It has a 24inch octagon barrel and it is a pump action magazine fed .22. Any info on firearm please reply.thanks

There isn't a lot of info on them. Did find another Schmeisser, but a semi-auto that look almost identical to your pump, on a Brit auction site from last summer. They say it's extremely rare. They're not kidding either. It did mention an Imperial German stamp(that'd be the Crown over the 'B'). That puts it before W.W. I.
Naturally, a net search for 'Schmeisser' turns up a whole lot of SMG's and pistols.
"AUTOMATISCHE BUECHSE SYST." Turns up nothing.
You could try asking on rimfirecentral.com. Add the W's.

Thanks sunray ,I have also been trying for days . Already have it on Rimfire, without the W.W.I . One guy identified it straight away, but has clammed up since I don't want to sell it. Also I am having fun trying to register it with CFC . The Schmeisser and Automatische Buechse Syst. are confusing them. Also lack of info. All very exciting though. Guess I got lucky this time.

"...The Schmeisser...are confusing them..." I can just imagine what they're telling you. "Sir, you don't have a prohibited permit, so you can't register it and you must turn it in right away."
The Brit auction site is here. Lot Number 787. It might help. Add the W's.

I'd love to have one of the Tranter revolvers(lot #925). I'd especially like the Purdey double rifle(lot #826). Don't have the 6 figure money though.
They had a boxed set of French percussion dueling pistols on auction just two weeks ago too.

No Sunray, they are not that bad. Just lots of pictures , and description of every little mark . That Schmeisser on the Scotarms site is also a 1912 . Although mine is a pump . I am hoping nothing is missing as I cannot imagine how this one feeds and fires . The Scot one also has the ejection port sealed.
