I have a friend with a newly acquired Browning T-Bolt and we were both quite surprised with the poor accuracy out of it.
He tried a few kinds of ammo and nothing helped. Is this normal. Has anyone tried to re-barrel one?

Did you try giving it a good cleaning - including the bolt face?

A friend of mine has one and shoots grouse in the head every fall with it. My 77/22 was recently giving me inconsistent groups. But after a good cleaning of the bolt face, the groups tightened up again. Give it a try and good luck.

:)

Gee 1"-3" is pretty good for 100 yards, even better at 200 yards
at 50 yards it would be less impressive.
Scoped?
Bench rested?
Off-hand?
Distance?

Just checked my targets from my first left hand Tbolt.
I show .33 inch at 25 yards with Eley ammo and the factory peep. The target has 4 shots in one ragged hole and one shot just on the edge of the main hole.

Just found the target from my second left hand Tbolt. Only shot it once so far. Cheap Chinese scope that's going to be replaced real quick. 25 yards at Shooters Choice, only one or two 5 shot groups for each type of ammo (at $10 an hour, I was in a hurry) - Federal bulk .452, PMC Scoremaster .371, .155, Lapua .192, .142, Eley .123, .221
