T/C Omega Stock

I have a stainless Synthetic T/C Omega .50 Cal. The butt end of the stock is very hollow sounding. As the stock is hollow I am wondering if filling the butt end with foam insulation would work to cure this?? Would it do any damage to the stock??:confused:
