I have neem wanting to try one of these for a while, and saw one on ebay out of hong kong for $19 plus $9 for shipping to canada.

I was very surprised by the quality, the legs are 1/4" anodized aluminum, I can open it up and stand on it and it still holds. It is longer and a little bigger than I would like, but not too bad. This is my first vertical grip, the gun is shown with the 6.8 SPC barrel that I had fluted and flash hider removed. All I use it for is hunting (deer, bear, coyotes).

The only issue I kind of have is that when it is closed as a grip there is a little play and it moves on the pivot side to side if you wiggle it. Just wondering if this is normal, or because this is a knockoff? Again for $19, it will be just fine for me to use

I think a little play is normal, but then, mine's mounted to the plastic barrel shroud of my SL8, which also has a little play, so it's hard to tell if the play comes from the grip, or the plastic.

Also, I paid close to $150 for mine after tax and shipping. It looks identical to yours. Damn it!

Very Nice DMS1. The Little bit of play seems reasonable for a knock off. As long as it doesn't cause you too much trouble it should do the trick.

BTW I love the fluting on your barrel! Something I'm gonna keep in mind for when I get my own XCR. Mind telling me who did it? Thanks
