T1X 16 inch bbl in a Grey Birch folder OAL

Guess nobody went on the website. Grey Birch makes a chassi for the T1X with a 16 inch barrel. That is legal when folded.

I don't know how they measured theirs but I measured mine with a 20" barrel at 29" minus 4" for a 16" barrel making it 25".

Well the Lab said a shotgun mag ext tube, counts towards the OAL on a shotgun.

But that's not a muzzle device is it?

In principle I agree, muzzle device SHOULD count. The lab has said otherwise though. I'm not saying it makes sense, I'm just saying what they told my friend in writing when he asked about this exact thing - using a muzzle device to make a 22lr long enough to be NR with a folding stock.

Is your chassis the one with the 16" foreend or one of the shorter ones? I wonder if the 16" foreend isn't actually LONGER than the 16" barrel?

Possibly. Mine has the 10" forend

The RCMP for many years now, do not accept add on's to the barrel as increasing the length... that goes back to days of the 30 M1 Carbine in the 80's.

Bradley, do you have it in writing?

They did in Alberta, I had a few HK 91’sand G3’s than had pinned and soldered flash hiders to make them NR. They did not accept that in B.C. as I recall.
