Tandemkross makes some nice ones. They are not too long and fairly light compared to most compensators.

There's a round version and a squared version. I have one of each... This is the way

I found that my T1X shot well , but was a bit ammo picky . So , I installed an MDT Elite brake ( 1/2 x 28 ) to see what effect it had on barrel harmonics . Obviously , there is no need for recoil reduction with a 22LR , but , barrel harmonics are everything . Success . The added weight on the end of the barrel had a significant and instant positive effect . It's now far less ammo picky and the ammo that it liked previously shot noticeably better . Looks cool too . 5 shot groups at 50M off the bipod are typically in the low .200's with good ammo and often times better . It's hard to argue with that for the reasonable costs involved .

I didn't notice any accuracy changes but I'm just using them on a couple 10/22 builds. On a bolt gun you may be able to tell a difference

They look cool though and do push the muzzle down a bit for offhand shooting.

The better the ammo , the better the performance . When using RWS Special Match and Eley Match for example , the shooter is the limiting factor in most cases . Both ammo have shot 5 shot groups at 50M off the bipod in the zero's but typically , in the .100's and low .200.s . If you've shot in the .300's , either the wind was a factor or the shooter screwed it up .

I have been looking for RWS special match for a while. Looks like it is finally coming back in stock. I haven't tried Eley yet. I have been fairly unimpressed with Lapua in my Tikkas, especially for the price.

The RWS Special Match has performed extremely well in both the T1X and the Anschutz 54.30 . Radar chrono data has shown very good ES and SD numbers in both rifles . It's very hard to get right now and has been very expensive . I bought 8 bricks of it as well as RWS Match when it was available and I don't regret it for an instant . Hopefully more of it comes around again .
